The East Arm Rowing Club sponsors a Learn‐to‐Row in the spring of each year. This year’s program will begin on Sunday, April 18 at 9 a.m. at the West Point Boathouse for a
technical session, and culminate with the annual “Greenwood Lake Challenge” for the Sullivan Cup to be held on Sunday, June 6 beginning at 8 a.m.
Every effort is made to put boats together based on age, athletic ability, and competitive desire. Rowers will have the same team and coach for the duration of the program. Coaches are seasoned volunteer members of the club. The cost will be $125 for the eight‐week program.
You must be available on June 6/race day in order to participate in this program. We also require that you know how to swim, and be able to lift 35 pounds over your head. You must also sign a waiver (printable below). Rowers may only participate in the Challenge Learn‐to‐Row a maximum of three times. You always have the option
of joining the club, and if you choose to join your program payment may be applied to the $350 yearly membership fee.
There will be an orientation/registration at the boathouse located at 69 Sterling Road in Greenwood Lake on Saturday, March 27 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and Sunday, April 10 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Payment may be made in cash or by check. Please print out the registration form and waiver, and bring the completed forms to registration with your payment. Club members will be on hand to show registrants around the boathouse and watch the required safety video. If you cannot make the registration you may download the attached registration form and waiver and mail your check to:
