The Top Ten Reasons It’s Great To Be An EARC Junior……………………….

10.    Where else do you get to be bossed around by so many people who aren’t your parents?

  1. It’s more fun to do chores around the boathouse than it is to clean your room.

8.      If there’s something wrong with the riggers – you can say “I wasn’t the last one in the boat” and maybe get away with it.

7.          No one else says “RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRow ” quite like Alex.

  1. We can’t find enough kids our own age to fill an eight at 6:00am on a Saturday.

  1. None of our other friend’s emails end with “Cheers.”

4.        At 6’, we’re not the shortest rowers on the team.

3.    There’s always someone at the boathouse willing to debate with Frank, Jr.

2.       We’d rather spend the morning rowing with Paul Barasel than spend the evening with him in lockup.

The top reason its great to be an EARC Junior……………………………….

       1. Because without EARC – none of us would be rowing.

EARC has opened their doors to share the love of the sport with all of us.  The boathouse, the boats, the coaching, the equipment, as well as the skill and talent and time of senior members - have allowed us to stand before you as rowers.  Part of who we are, is due to the lessons learned from being with you all – both on and off the water- team work, unity, leadership, responsibility, companionship, tolerance, camaraderie.  These lessons and the friendships we’ve made at EARC have made an impact on all of our lives.  The times we’ve shared at regattas, like the Fish and the Frostbite, have been great.  And while there have been victories and there have been disappointments – it’s been a great row!  On behalf of all the Juniors – Thank You for all you’ve done and continue to do!
